Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on ECEL — European Community Esports League ("ECEL", "we", "our", "the Platform") — or using any of its services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not register or use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to register. Players under 18 confirm they have parental/guardian consent to compete.
  • You must own the Free Fire account (Game ID) you register with. Boosting, account sharing, or registering an account that does not belong to you is prohibited.
  • One player = one account. Multi-accounting will lead to permanent bans of all linked accounts. We cross-check Game ID, IP address, and device fingerprint.

3. Fair Play, Anti-Cheat & Conduct

  • Cheating, hacking, exploiting bugs, ghosting, match-fixing, or using third-party tools, macros, aim assists, or modified clients is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate permanent ban and forfeiture of any prizes, rewards, badges, ECEL points and player value.
  • Toxic behaviour, harassment, hate speech, doxxing or threats — in chat, voice, social posts, or any communication tied to ECEL — will be sanctioned according to our Code of Conduct.
  • You must comply with Garena's Free Fire Terms of Service. A ban issued by Garena automatically applies on ECEL.

4. Tournaments, Prizes & KYC

  • Tournament rules (format, schedule, prize pool) are published per event. Registration implies acceptance of those rules.
  • ECEL may disqualify any team or player who breaks the rules, no-shows, or behaves inappropriately. Disqualification may result in loss of prize, ranking points, ECEL points and player value.
  • Prize payouts are issued via the methods listed at the time of the event (PayPal, bank transfer, in-game credits, etc.). Cash payouts above 50 € require verified identity (KYC) per EU AML rules.

5. Player Value, Stats & Badges

Your competitive profile — stats, player value, value history, badges, trophies, login activity and team history — is part of your public ECEL identity. By using the platform you agree that this data may be displayed publicly on profile pages, leaderboards, scouting tools and tournament brackets.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (avatar, logo, clips, messages). By uploading, you grant ECEL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute it on the Platform and on ECEL's social channels for promotional purposes related to the league.

7. Personal Data & Security Telemetry

We process the data you provide (email, in-game name, country, date of birth, gameplay statistics) to operate the Platform, organise competitions, and communicate with you. For fraud prevention and account security, we also log: login IP, device/user-agent, sensitive actions (password changes, payouts, role changes), and an audit trail of administrative actions. Data is handled per our Privacy Policy and applicable EU GDPR regulations. You may request export or deletion of your account at any time from /settings.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

ECEL reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that breaks these Terms, our Code of Conduct, or any tournament-specific ruleset, with or without prior notice. Severe violations (cheating, fraud, threats) result in permanent platform-wide ban.

9. Refusal to Accept These Terms

If you choose to decline these Terms, you will be redirected to the account-deletion screen. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible: your personal data is anonymised per GDPR, your team memberships are cleared, and you will no longer be able to log in with the same credentials.

10. Disclaimer

ECEL is a community-run competitive platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Garena Online or 111dots Studio. Free Fire is a trademark of its respective owners.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms periodically. When the version changes, all logged-in users are required to accept the new revision before continuing to use ECEL.
